The second season DVDs are packaged in individual plastic sleeves, and won't be scratched up by flying around inside the package. The first season DVDs tend to come off the plastic hubs, and rattle around in the box.
The packaging for this second season release is better than that of the first season DVD set. New viewers will experience the same excitement by viewing all 30+ episodes in order. I remember my shock at di scovering who Laura Palmer's killer was. It was worth the wait, and hopefully these DVDs will create more Peaks fans. Fans such as myself have waited patiently for this second season to be released. The first season of Twin Peaks came out on DVD several years ago. Ironically, Twin Peaks was the inspiration for the X-Files, along with Picket Fences, Eerie, Indiana, and American Gothic. The show contained science fiction and fantasy elements, but never enough to win over the SF fans that later clamored for shows such as The X-Files. The show never caught on with a mainstream audience, and was cancelled by ABC in its second season. To this day, it remains one of the most well-written and well-acted nighttime dramas ever to appear on the small screen. After Rina is critically wounded while heading to work with Jubal the team makes the chilling discovery that a vengeful Vargas orchestrated the shooting from behind bars and continues to target the rest of their team and their loved ones. Twin Peaks debuted on ABC in the early 1990s.
